November 2011 As one of the largest and oldest business organizations in India, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the non-government, not-for-profit organization located in New Delhi recently installed a state-of-the-art audio solution to help continue its leading role in social, economical and political change. Designed by M/S Uppal Gosh and Associates, AKG CS5 Digital Conference system was integrated by Hi-Tech Audio Systems Pvt. Ltd. to ensure the high-level conference proceedings run flawlessly throughout the venue.
FICCI is the voice of India’s business and industry, with direct membership from the private and public sectors. More than 83,000 companies are members of the organization, so it is imperative these businesses’ voices are clearly heard during large meetings. Covering an area of approximately 450 square meters, with a seating capacity of 260, the AKG CS5 system – one chairman unit and 92 delegate units – is permanently mounted flush to each table. The chairman unit boasts a 500mm flexible condenser microphone with a 125-degree pickup angle. The CS5 system includes a display for delegate status, language interpretation, voting and polling abilities with five soft keys, a dual stereo loudspeaker and two headphone sockets with volume control. Chosen to provide FICCI with the perfect solution, Hi-Tech touted its 20 years of experience in the professional AV industry, installing complete sound reinforcement systems in projects such as the Common Wealth Games, Vidhan Sabha, Kingdom of Dreams and PVR Cinemas, among others. “Installing the AKG CS5 system at FICCI, one of the most widely used conference halls in India, was an amazing experience,” stated Rajan Gupta, director, Hi-Tech Audio Systems. “The rugged AKG conference system offers a great tonal quality, adequate volume, no feedback and good speech intelligibility, which will surely go a long way in making this install a benchmark in AKG’s history.” Completing the sound reinforcement are 12 JBL 25T 2-way speakers, powered by Crown CDI 1000 amplifiers.
