Stereoplay and Audio, “Golden Ear 2008” Readers’ Poll, Issue No. 3/2008
In their January issue, magazines Stereoplay and Audio invited their readers to nominate their personal consumer electronics favorites. The results were published in the 3/2008 issues. In the Stereoplay poll, the AKG K 701 came first in the “Open-Back” category; the AKG K 324 P and the AKG K 530 took awards in the “Mobile Headphones” and “Hi-fi Headphones” classes respectively. The readers of Audio awarded the AKG K 440 NC the “Golden Ear 2008” in the category “Headphones with Noise Canceling”.

They write: “Cleverly constructed folding headphones with noise filter…For a folding headset, the K 440 NC sounds surprisingly full-grown; especially the bass is powerful - in some places even ‘bigger than live’.” Test result: good.
